## Size

| Term | What it actually is | Start here |

| Shoe size recommendation | Foot scan, then an advisory size for one shoe. Public `clientId`. Not on Shopify or WooCommerce as a built-in button. | [Recommend a shoe size](shoes/recommend-size.md) |
| Clothing size estimate | Body-range chart compared with a Size Mode digital twin. Result is fit, loose, or tight. Endpoint `POST /api/v1/size-fitting`. | [Recommend a clothing size](clothing/recommend-size.md) |
| On-shoe fit heatmap | Not a documented integration. | Do not implement it from the clothing or shoe size pages. |

## Credentials and status

| Term | Meaning |
|------|---------|
| API key | Secret from [dash.wearfits.com](https://dash.wearfits.com). Sent as `X-API-Key` from your server. Never in shopper-facing JavaScript. Shopify merchants do not create one. |
| `clientId` | Public store id for the shoe-size widget. Not a secret. Useless until WEARFITS has registered it and your origins. |
| Origin | `scheme://host[:port]`. `www` and the apex are different. Production is HTTPS. |
| `status: live` | You can complete the setup from the recipe. |
| `status: gated` | The steps are real, and WEARFITS has to register or enable the store before go-live. |
| Dashboard | Account, keys, usage, and invoices at [dash.wearfits.com](https://dash.wearfits.com). Not used by the Shopify app. |
| Reference | API and operator manuals in the sidebar. Read them after a recipe, not instead of one. |

## Platforms

| Term | Meaning |
|------|---------|
| Shopify app | **WEARFITS Try-On** inside Shopify Admin. Shoe AR from photos. Apparel only when that access is already on the store. No shoe-size button. |
| WooCommerce shoes plugin | **WEARFITS Shoes Tryon** on WordPress.org. Shoe AR. Needs an API key. No shoe-size button. |
| WooCommerce clothing plugin | Iframe of the clothing fitting room. Earlier stage than the shoes plugin. |
